Slovenia packs alp, river, and karst into a small country. This week rides the Soča, that impossible green water, and the meadows under Triglav's side valleys.

The horses are local. If the week starts from the Karst, we stop at Lipica, where the Lipizzaner stud still stands.

Beds are guesthouses and one hut night. Showers most evenings. The riding is still the day.

01 · Day 1 · Ljubljana to the horses

Meet in Ljubljana and drive to the start. If we begin on the Karst, Lipica is the first stop: white horses, old stables, then our own string.

Transfer · first night in a guesthouse

02 · Days 2-4 · The green river

Ride the Soča side valleys. Wooden bridges, alp farms, and a canter where the grass is sound. One night in a hut.

Three riding days · guesthouse and hut

03 · Days 5-6 · Down to the valley

A last morning in the meadows, then back to the horses' home and the drive to Ljubljana.
